We leave Cusco at 09:00 am in the morning for our Machu Picchu 2 day tour. We’ll drive to the village of Ollantaytambo which is located in the Sacred Valley where we will take our train to Aguas Calientes. With unparalleled landscape throughout the journey, the train journey itself is a lifetime experience. Following the Urubamba River downstream the Sacred Valley you will get to Aguas Calientes by about 02:30 pm Upin arrival a representative of the hotel will be waiting to take you to the accommodation, after check in to our hotel, you’ll have all the afternoon free. Whether you want to take advantage of your free afternoon you could visit the Machu Picchu museum, orchid exhibition, and butterfly exhibitions which is a 40 minutes’ walk outside of the village or you can just relax in the hot springs which is 5 minutes’ walk of the town.

Overnight in Aguas Calientes

We will wake up at 5:30 am to take the first bus up to Machu Picchu and see the sunrise over the ruins. If you want, we can go a bit late to Machu Picchu.

Your guide will spend around 2 hours explaining the highlights of Machu Picchu After the guided tour you can enjoy some free time to explore the outer areas independently. Enjoy one of the many hikes, such as the trail to the Inka Bridge or the Sun Gate.

Return by bus to Aguas Calientes by yourself, where you will have time to explore the town on your own and enjoy one of the many restaurants or cafés. Then, you will board the train in the late afternoon for the return journey to Ollantaytambo, where on arrival; we will be waiting for you, to bring your back to your accommodation in Cusco.
