Description tour

Itinerary:

Transfer from the accommodation in Arequipa and continue to exchange our clothes for your river equipment. Soon after, we head down to the river through the beauty of the Chilina Valley to the Shrine of the Virgin of Chapi-Charcani, a small church bordering the Chili River where our tour begins. Before getting on the water, our guides will give us a brief lesson on river safety and rescue, and will also explain the role of rafting guides and safety kayaking.

The first section of rapids is Class II and is useful for practicing rowing technique and river safety. Next, we will perform an exciting Class III section, where it will certainly get a little wet. The next section is Class IV, the strongest rapids you’ll encounter (if you’re not in the mood for Class IV rapids, you have the option of going out and walking a short distance). For the final section of Class III: Almost everyone is willing to participate in the wild waters, but you can also go out and walk to the end point. After an exciting Class IV rapids excursion, we’ll stop for a swim and jump off the cliff, which is an option if you don’t feel wet enough. The last 15-minute stretch before we leave the river is Class III with considerable rapids.

When you leave the river, you will exchange your equipment and we will make a quick stop at our warehouse for a snack (not included). We’ll take you back to Plaza de Armas to enjoy the rest of your day in the white city.
