Upon arrival in Arequipa, we will be pick up and transfer to the hotel. After check-in at the hotel, we will have free morning for shopping or resting.

Afternoon:. Arequipa City tour

In the afternoon, around 13:30h we will start our Arequipa city tour, we will Visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina, then we will visit the Plaza de Armas, one of the most beautiful in Peru, the Jesuit Church of the Company, which in its beautiful façade announces the so-called mestizo architecture, its cloisters and dome, the Tristan del Pozo house and at the end and for a magnificent view from the city we will visit the typical districts of Carmen alto and Yanahuara. (Mirador and Church). We will be back in Arequipa around 6pm.

We leave Arequipa between 2:30-3:00am, will drive for 3 hours northwest behind the Chachani to Chivay, capital of the Colca Canyon. Where we will have breakfast. We continue driving for 2 hours at the most famous spot in the Colca Canyon “La Cruz del Condor”.

This is where we see the depth of the canyon and the flight of the Condor. The area has beautiful typical villages like Yanque and Maca, colonial churches, friendly people with dresses and hats with typical sewing, and hundreds of pre-Inca terraces that are still in use with Andean crops such as corn, quinoa and amaranth.

Already in Chivay at noon there is an optional visit to the hot springs of La Calera, with pools that have a water temperature of 40 ° C / 104 ° F. Once in Chivay we will have a traditional lunch and after lunch we will travel to back to Arequipa. We stop on the way, on the highest step: the viewpoint of the volcanoes and snow-capped mountains in Patapampa (4,800m).

Later we will see wild vicunas, alpacas and llamas in the national reserve of Pampa Cañahuas and some birds like flamingos, ibis, Andean geese, ducks and eagle’s Andean Quechua called “Kara Kara”. Finally, we arrive at the city of Arequipa at the end of the afternoon, at approximately 17:00.

Transfer from the hotel in Arequipa at 08:00 am to continue to the Culebrillas quarries (3km from the center of Arequipa), which are mainly located in the district of Cerro Colorado and Yura. After the earthquake in Arequipa in 1687 there was a massive use of the construction system with Sillar, and when it was perfected, the beautiful colonial architecture of Arequipeña resulted. The quarries of Sillar come from the eruptions and in the tour we will be able to appreciate the cutters of this stone in their daily tasks, as well as some samples of carvings.

In this place we can see where the masons take Ignimbrite and then patiently develop the Sillar, they will explain in detail the preparation there and we will also learn the story behind the Sillar.

We return to the city of Arequipa around 12pm and transfer to the hotel in Arequipa.

Evening:. Departure from Arequipa to Cusco

In the evening, transfer to the bus station for our night bus from Arequipa to Cusco. The drive takes around 10 hours.

Upon arrival in Cusco, reception at bus station and transfer to our hotel in the city center.

Afternoon:. Cusco City tour

In the afternoon around 1:10 pm pick up from your hotel to Cusco City Tour. The tour will begin visiting the Temple of the Sun or Qorikancha, Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. And return around 7:00 pm

Pick up from your hotel in Cusco in the morning. We will take you to the train station where we will embark on this extraordinary train ride to Machu Picchu where you will have beautiful views and e include refreshments. The train passes through beautiful ecosystems then have your camera ready to take pictures.

Approximately four hours after his departure from Cusco will arrive at the train station in Aguas Calientes (the town located at the bottom of Machu Picchu). Your expert guide will be waiting at the station. Together we will take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu that lasts 25 minutes.

Arriving at Machu Picchu, you will enter the site. And your guide will give you a tour of the citadel for 2hours. After the guided tour, there will be free time to explore, take pictures.

After exploring Machu Picchu lower by bus to Aguas Calientes. Then you can enjoy the restaurants, explore the village, or relax in the thermal baths.

In the afternoon return to Cusco by train, four hours after leaving, you will come to Cusco and transfer to your hotel.

After a delicious breakfast we will pick at your hotel around 8:30 am for the wonderful Tour Sacred Valley of the Incas and visit the archaeological park Pisac and its traditional market, enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in Urubamba, then visit the wonderful city of Ollantaytambo, where there should stop walking through the cobblestone streets that keep alive the Inca culture that make us go back in time. Finally, and return visit Chinchero district known as the city of Arco Iris, where we can see the mountains of the Andes to the Salkantay snowcapped Veronica and Soray its beautiful church, its talented artisans, where you can buy your beautiful products handmade, hence we will be back in Cusco around 7:30 pm.

Evening:. Departure from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado

In the evening, transfer to the bus station for your night bus from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado. The drive takes around 7 hours.

On arrival to Puerto Maldonado, our guides will meet us at the bus station and transfer us to our office to make a registration.

Your excess luggage will be stored safely in our office in Puerto Maldonado and then we will continue to the Capitanía port. We will take our motor boat along the Madre de Dios River for approximately 40 minutes to our lodge. Upon arrival a cool welcome will be waiting for us!

Monkey’s Island  – Caiman Spotting

After a well-deserved lunch, we take the kayaks to the river, this level one activity is relaxing and accessible for all. Once we arrive to the Monkey Island we will be able appreciate a great diversity of monkeys such as the: capuchin, tamarines y squirrel monkeys we will put on a show of swinging through the treetops charging down the trunks of the large trees that form their home in order to accept food from your hand.

We will return to the lodge and have dinner

At night we will have our extra activity of caiman spotting.

After a great breakfast, we will be given our box lunch for the day, then we’ll take the boat to get to the control of Tambopata National Reserve Zone, after 1 and half hour walking through the rainforest we are approaching to the famous Sandoval Lake. The way is with immense ancient trees and entangled vines; we will be able to see multihued flower and fauna including: Giant Otters, birds, coloured butterflies, turtles, and variety of fish. We will spend few hours in canoe on this one of the most beautiful lakes in region.

Before breakfast we will visit the Parrots and parakeets. Each day they go and eat from the rich clay that provides them with the salts and minerals necessary to metabolize and neutralize the toxins and acids of the flowers, fruits, and seeds upon which they feed. We will return to the lodge for breakfast.

At 9am we will return to Puerto Maldonado and transfer to airport or bus station.
